2026 KEYNOTe speakers

  • REV RUFUS SMITH IV

Rev. Rufus Smith IV is the Senior Pastor of Hope Church (EPC) in Memphis, Tennessee. He joined Hope’s staff in 2010 and became Senior Pastor in 2013. Under his leadership, the church has grown into a multi-ethnic, multi-generational congregation.

Rev. Smith also founded the Memphis Christian Pastor’s Network (MCPN), a diverse coalition of clergy working to build trust and close the economic disparity gap in Memphis. Before coming to Hope, he served as Senior Pastor of The City of Refuge Presbyterian Church in Houston and founded The FORGE for Families, a nonprofit serving under-resourced neighbors. He holds degrees from Houston Baptist University and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Grove City College.

  • Bryan Hurlbutt

Since 2004, Bryan has been the lead and founding pastor of Lifeline Community in West Jordan, Utah, where his mission has been to cultivate holistic disciples of Christ with lives of passionate engagement and intellectual depth. He has discipled men for over 20 years, teaching from an authentic place where his own story fits into God’s grand story.

In addition to pastoring, Bryan teaches and writes on a wide range of topics, including theology, worldview and discipleship. His book, “Tasty Jesus: Liberating Christ from the Power of Our Predilections,” equips believers to respond to the distortions of Christ created by the personal tastes of our culture that conflict with the Bible and historic Christian orthodoxy. He published “Cohort: Forming a Legion of Disciples in the Local Church” to teach church leaders effective strategies for developing discipleship structures and curriculum. Additionally, he has written David: A Man of Godly Passions, a short book of powerful lessons from the life of the great biblical figure.
